Cassandra Carrizales

I sought to be a counselor to help others become the best version of themselves in order to live their best lives.

I am a retired Major in the United States Army with 23 years of military service. My military assignments have ranged from Topographic Non-Commissioned Officer, Horizontal Engineer Company Commander, Brigade Engineer Battalion Executive Officer, and Combat Engineer. I have dedicated my career to taking care of soldiers and their families.

I believe everyone deserves to live a life of peace, purpose, and positivity. My commitment is to help you get there. I have spent the past few years helping children and adolescents work through serious mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. With tailored and unique treatment plans, each youth and family unit were able to achieve their individualized goals. As well as having the opportunity to work within a military-specific treatment program designed to meet the complex needs of active-duty service members with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including substance abuse and other behavioral health issues. The program aimed to build resilience in soldiers through consistent leader engagement and innovative coping mechanisms.

My civilian education includes a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University, a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University.

My husband, Daniel Carrizales, is a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant. We have four girls (ages 29, 27, 25, and 20), two boys (ages 22 and 16), and seven lovely grandchildren.
